Bita Analui was born in Tehran, Iran. After completing her Bachelor’s studies in Mathematics, she started to work as a statistics analyst in Tehran South West Power Distribution Company. While working, she persuaded her studies and completed her Master degree in Applies Mathematics, specialized in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). In September 2008, she was admitted and enrolled the prestigious ‘MSc Statistics’ program at the University of Sheffield. After completing her studies in England she moved to Austria and joined Prof. Pflug’s Research group. Since then and to enhance the practicality of her research, she has been collaborating in research projects facing with the real world problems, modeling and implementing the Multistage Stochastic Optimization models in Thermal and Hydroelectric operations while conducted as the project assistant and programmer in the field of optimal planning of unit commitment for electricity in Hydro and Thermal power production in Siemens Austria.
